A Bit About Me & My Dots

I was born in Toronto and grew up in Massachusetts, in a family full of storytellers and adventurers. My childhood was spent camping as an Eagle scout, creating mini movies with my twin brother Paul, and filling sketchbooks with doodles and imaginary worlds. Becoming an author grew out of that love and a way to invite others to create bravely alongside me.

I write, illustrate, and build spaces where originality can flourish. With Paul, I started FableVision, a digital media development studio in downtown Boston.

In my hometown of Dedham, I love spending time with my two kids and grandchildren. It’s also where you’ll find my nonprofit Reynolds Center for Teaching, Learning & Creativity which helps students, educators, and communities make an impact with compassion and hosts global celebrations like International Dot Day and Word Collector Week. Then there’s The Blue Bunny in Dedham Square—a cozy bookshop I’m proud to own and occasionally work at as a barista! I also started Dedham Square Circle to keep our town connected and vibrant.

These days, my life is full of writing, school visits, keynotes, workshops, and hot tea. My goal? To inspire others to make a mark. A dot. A story. A smile. Something that matters.

I shared my first picture book with my teacher at age seven and I’m still sharing my books in schools today!
